The Benefits of Rowing

Rowing is for all ages and abilities.

Whether it’s on the water or indoors, rowing is a great way to develop your fitness and stay physically active.

Rowing on the lake is a fantastic experience. Fresh air, regular exercise, fun and friendship all contribute to your health and well-being

Rowing develops endurance, strength, balance, and mental discipline.

Rowing develops skills like working as part of a team, self discipline, goal setting and staying calm under pressure

Rowing works out the whole body – focusing on the lower and middle back, hamstrings, calves, gluteal muscles and biceps.

Rowing is a non-weight-bearing sport which if done correctly is good for your joints.

Rowing strengthens and tones arms, shoulders, legs and your back. Rowing employs a wide range of movement, which minimizes stiffness and increases flexibility
